NEVER NEVER NEVER... makes me sick to think about it! and dairy literally makes me sick. hospital kinda sick. :/

@blinkme478 good question – happy to address this in another video : )

  5. EcoVeganGal says:

@Gieszkanne thanks for pointing that out – I give more details on my website’s article – link is now in the description

  6. Gieszkanne says:

Honey except of your stomach problems you dont talk about “benefits of removing soy”!!!

  7. blinkme478 says:

Hey Whitney! Cane sugar- how should I feel about it?

  8. InvisiMan2006 says:

Soy is especially important for women as it has protective effects over breast cancer. Dr. Michael Greger covers this extensively in his videos. Of course, processed fake meats aren’t good for you, but soybeans, tofu, etc. Are quite good for you.

@KithkinWillowblades I’ve been in debates with meat eaters before, but not on the basis of what’s natural. I guess since I’m new at this I haven’t heard the “is agriculture natural” question yet. What should I say if they point out that tobacco is natural? I mean, there have to be some ill health effects associated to GMOs that you don’t find in the organic foods, right? What health effects should I tell them about?

  10. KithkinWillowblades says:

@RosElisabeth sorry your “is agriculture natural” statement is used against vegans by people with very closed minds. I suppose if its an honest (though odd) question the answer is yes it is natural it only became unnatural with all the chemicals and genetics done to the natural food that has made it seem unnatural…does that make sense? I also can’t afford all organics. check out “the dirty dozen” on Google those I would get organic at all cost.

  11. ArmedVegan says:

Good advice. I depended on soy based meat alternatives during my initial vegan transition too and now a couple years later, have tried to eat a more varied source of protein. I eat edamame on occasion but have avoided soy processed foods for the most part. Thanks for sharing!

  12. RosElisabeth says:

@KithkinWillowblades I asked about her statement-
‘really bad for you for a number of reasons’, because I was under the impression that there is no scientific evidence that it is BAD for me.
I do not appreciate opinions stated as facts.
I’m vegan for moral reasons, and I am in NO industry.
I can’t buy all organic, as I am currently unemployed. However, I would def. go without soy milk, instead of buying the organic, if what she is saying is true. I love hemp & almond milk & my health..

  13. KithkinWillowblades says:

@RosElisabeth It’s clear that you are either a meat eater or in the industry. I respect your opinion but am ending this conversation have a fabulous day.

  14. MichaeLightify says:

@nebraskafrankcourtny If you really love animals you will take care of yourself!

If you are not healthy or do not live a long life then you cannot help the animals as much as if you were super healthy and live a long time!

Think about the animals, take care of yourself for their sake!

  15. RosElisabeth says:

    @KithkinWillowblades Is agriculture natural?

  16. nebraskafrankcourtny says:

I envy you! You seem to be “of-one-mind”. I have been vegan for 2 years, after being vegetarian 10 yrs. I do it for one reason: the animals. Why I don’t apply the same moral-choice to my own health is a mystery. I eat Fritos, Wendy’s fries, Wendy’s burgers w/o the meat and add a boca or morningstar, Tofurky frozen pizzas, soda pops, the Doritos in a purple bag (vegan), deep-fried peanuts in the shells, and more. I eat whatever vegan food I can get my hands on with no thought of my own health.

  17. KithkinWillowblades says:

@RosElisabeth not really. It was genetically modified to resist the weed/bug killers that are sprayed on it. Honestly just stay away from gmo anything. If its not natural it doesn’t belong in your body. Then again you have to be careful about companies marketing “Natural” stuff as well cause its just become a selling slogan to get you to buy their version of natural. WE live in a f’ed up world where the food industry doesn’t care about your health they only care about your money.

  18. RawTris says:

soy is acid forming (alkaline foods is the way to health). Also fermented is even worse

  19. RosElisabeth says:

@KithkinWillowblades So, as long as it’s not from Monsanto, it’s okay?

  20. KithkinWillowblades says:

@RosElisabeth it is widely known that the company who produced the genetically modified soybean is the same company that created agent orange for bio chemical warfare.

  21. DolorousSam says:

    Hats indoor? Madness!

My next experiment is making my own rice/oat milk as soy is too expensive and organic is always sweetened around here. Then if I get that right maybe sprouting.

As to what obrienkl3 said it would be good to get a days worth of food or a general break down of what sort of meals you plan. I find that I normally go for porridge, then snack, then stir fry for lunch and finally a stew for dinner but seeing what someone else does is always beneficial.

  22. RosElisabeth says:

Hi. Just wondering if you can list the number of reasons that genetically mod. soy is bad for you, other than it not being organic? People spead this information like it’s wildfire, but never actually offer any of the reasons. Are there any scientific reasons? Do you know something we don’t? Otherwise, how can you state such a thing a fact?
I understand organic is better, but to state that there a number of reasons w/o facts leaves me very curious.

  23. 1umbnonearth says:

Its hard to avoid if you like Tofurkey dogsand similar products. Protein is probably over sold because of some much emphasis on competitive sports in diet science. More raw fruits vegetables, nuts, grains. If your an athlete trying to build muscle mass, soy is more important.

  24. marystestkitchen says:

<---LOVE soy. Go to the asian grocery store for tofu. Even the most common brands are non-GMO (asians are wary of GMO too, fyi). But yes, I agree that you shouldn't put all your protein in one basket :-)

  25. TheJimmaa says:

you didnt tell us any health benefits. you told us that broccoli has vitamins and how to cook it.

  26. Meteor62x2 says:

I eat it every day. 6 minutes in the steamer. Sprinkle with a lil garlic powder.

  27. WhatsHappening783402 says:

The cream turned me off, but I eat broccoli raw daily, its more effective if blended. Keeps skin young and strong. But people would rather eat greasy hamburgers. Haha, I know they don’t eat like that in other countries
