try this….In a little oil, fry onions, few flakes of garlic, 2 cloves, a small stick of cinnammon for just about a couple of minutes, enough to make the onions transclucent, remove and cool and grind to a paste with very lil water or stock. Next, fry either chicken or any kind of meat you like, chopped in medium sized pieces in butter or oil for a few minutes till brown on outside, add ground paste, salt, chilli powder, cumin powder, chopped onions and tomato paste and continue to fry for another 10 mins, next add a cup of raw rice and 2 cups od stock or water to same and boil till water or stock is completely absorbed and chicken and rice are done, you can add bell peppers to this dish also.this is an authentic indian fried rice , known as “biryani”. enjoy.
