We call this Shakshoka in Libya, if you make it with minced meat it’s
called Keemia or Mafroom, try it, it’s really good.

In a different video, Gordon says not to turn the steaks over more than
once on each side. Here, he says to do it multiple times to cook it evenly.
So, which one is it?

I feel like he’s just making this up as he goes or made up this recipe
right before he was filmed… I’ve seen him cook before and usually he’s
way more passionate and confident, this seems like he’s just throwing some
shit together that he knows will taste good to get the job done… like
really. Olive oil, and butter? And the fat from the steak? Garlic and
herbs? A good steak only needs three things, a teaspoon of veggie oil, the
meat, and butter for nutty flavour.

I always see these chefs handling raw chicken and fish and just wiping
their hands off on their apron. Seems like that’s taking a big chance for
someone getting sick and suing the restaurant.

I cook mine the same way, but I always use a nice American made cast iron
pan.
Reallly puts the carmelization on the surface. I just don’t like that high
heat on a plastic coated pan. I don’t like cooking on teflon or whatever
the hell those chinese pans are made of today at a high heat.
