I keep the stems on my parsley and kale when I make my smoothies. I’ve
heard they’re inedible to eat, but I figured since I blend them into a fine
paste it wouldn’t be bad for me. Is this wrong? Should I take the stems off
of most vegetables for smoothies?

Your reaction to the flavor of the smoothie really makes me want to try
this one. I’m going to get the ingredients tomorrow 🙂

I put parsley in every smoothie I make. But honestly, you should be
drinking everything at room temperature. Adding ice sounds nice but it is
horrible for your internal organs & your body temperature. Read up on
Eastern Medicine regarding body temperature. Also drinking anything cold is
bad for women – whether it’s for reproductive ailments, hormones,
menopause, skin…

Hi Jane, I really enjoyed watching you make this smoothie. I have been
following you for a couple of years now and I have yet to even master half
of the smoothies/juices you make! LOL! Anyway, I couldn’t help but notice
that you made this smoothie on level 1/high. Do you make all of your
smoothies at this level? I find that sometimes my smoothies come out with a
different consistency because I’m not sure of how long or at what level to
mix it on. Look forward to hearing back. Thanks Jane!

Yes, I usually just flip it to high for my smoothies and let them blend
smooth. The blender doesn’t seem to mind the shock 🙂 The whole point is to
get the blends smooth, so HIGH seem the fastest path there. I use other
settings for salsa, chopping etc. Thank you so much for watching my videos
and for your support. I appreciate it. Have a great, greening day.

You are right- this combination is really good. This was my first time
using flat leaf parsley in a smoothie and it was incredible. Thanks for the
recipe.

Excellent. Glad you made it and also glad you modified it to work with what
you had in your fridge. It gives people confidence that they can create
their own green smoothies – thanks for taking the time to comment.

this smoothie was amazing i made it differently because i didnt have
grapes. i made parsley smoothie before but it was horrible. I think what
makes this recipe work is the pineapple. I used pineapple, banana, one
small green apple and water. wow i couldnt believe how good it was

For smoothies in the VitaMix or other high speed blender I leave them on.
Sometimes if I want a really fine texture or I am making something else,
I’ll take them off of kale, chard, etc., but I usually always leave them on
the tender greens and herbs like parsley, cilantro, basil, etc. If it’s a
problem for your blender you can take them off.

I have been drinking parsley while nursing twins for 17 months and the milk
supply is enough for triplets.

FYI Don’t drink parsley if you are nursing it is too detoxifying and will
also dry up your milk supply.
