They call it breakfast, in some parts of the country they just call it, time to eat. LOL
Anyway, why have a typical breakfast? Have your leftovers, add some fresh fruit and juice or milk, and you’re good to go.
Leftovers, can be a slice of pizza, it’s got all the pyramid groups, right there! Just open your fridge and see what is there to eat, even a handful of frozen blueberries, toasted pita bread and yogurt, or something and drain that with a glass of juice.
My favorite I had when I was a kid was hardboiled egg, cubed tomatoes, salt & pepper and rice. I still eat them when I crave for hard boiled eggs.

i normally eat 1/2 cup of oatmeal, with fresh strawberries 1 banana, and some nuts sprinkled on top.
if i’m in a rush: smoothie – spinach, banana, low f yogurt, soy milk, ice, strawberries, blueberries, black berries and scoop of prot. powder
or: whole wheat 100% grain bread with almond butter………..:)

A healthy breakfast is “balanced”- all of the foodgroups (2 servings wholegrains, dairy/ calcium, fruit, protein)
Breakfast should also be a larger/ largest meal mass compared to others, to revulate the metabolism to the max, and keep you full’er longer and energized throughout the day.
Example:
– 1 cup wholegrain cearel OR 1/2 cup granola/ musili OR 1 pkg instant oatmeal (1/3 cup steel oats) ~ wholegrain startch 1
– 1/2 cup skim- 1% milk (added to startch 1) ~ dairy/ calcium
– 1/2 cup berries OR 1/4 cup dried fruit OR 125mL juice OR 1 medium fruit (ex: apple, orange, banana, etc…)
– 1 slice whole wheat toast OR 1/2 whole- grain bagel OR 1 wholegrain waffle/ english muffin ~ wholegrain startch 2
– 1 tbsp peanut butter/ nut butter* OR 1 tbsp nutella OR 1 egg ~ protein/ healthy fat
Hope i’v helped, best of luck!
