And you're lovely and so sweet! Hugs. :)

Janine, can you tell me where your information about vegans not needing to
be so concerned about salt comes from? This is still a subject that garners
much debate even amongst the current whole food plant based doctors. Is
there an upper limit that you consider to be healthful for vegans? Thanks.

For a science-drived presentation about not worrying abt too much salt, see
George Guthrie’s YT presentation. This talk was given in September 2014.
There are effects from not getting enough salt, and he shows that the AHA’s
    recs are too low.

Little by little I’m going vegan. My mom has cancer and I been making her
meals where she doesn’t consume those meats! I didn’t think we would get
full with just eating veggies and fruit but boy was I wrong. Can’t forget
    about seeds and grains!

  5. Sherismiley says:

I made this and it was sooo salty I had to throw it all out. :/ I may
attempt again with half the salt. I do enjoy watching your videos.

    and really miss eggs sometimes

  12. NewEarthWellness says:

If you made it Sunday afternoon I think it should be good until maybe
Thursday if you take good care of it. After that I would begin to get
    suspicious of it. 🙂

  13. NewEarthWellness says:

    Yes.

  14. NewEarthWellness says:

Until you actually try leaving the free fats out of the diet you really
can’t understand how much better you can feel. I know from experience that
I have more energy AND strength since I gave up the free fats. You are
right that avocadoes, coconuts, almonds and walnuts have fat in them but
the fat is in its natural state with all the other nutrients the body needs
to make a right use of it. It is FREE FATS that we are not using—REFINED
    fats are the problem.

  15. NewEarthWellness says:

If you check our other recipes you will see what we are talking about. God
never meant for us to suck all the fat from the plants & eat it separate
from the fiber & nutrients that he put in the food. It takes something like
20 ears of corn to make a tablespoon of corn oil—that is a whole lot more
fat than was intended by the Manufacturer. All REFINED fat clogs the
arteries which slows the blood flow. Coconut oil lacks the fiber that was
meant to be with it. Check T Colin Campbell.

  16. BeenMangoed says:

Do you think it would be possible to get the same result by blending
    sprouted chickpeas with water?

Do I cook it in 500 degrees the whole time

  19. NewEarthWellness says:

Sounds delicious. I would fold in a big wad of sprouts just before folding
    it if it was me.

  20. NewEarthWellness says:

Add them to the batter raw.

  21. Al Parra says:

    Yum

  22. NewEarthWellness says:

No, we never use any free fats.

  23. NewEarthWellness says:

I have no idea. If you try it let me know how it turns out.

  24. NewEarthWellness says:

We appreciate your concern. Over a decade ago, we used to believe like you
do. I was sure that my skin would dry out and I would shrivel up like a
prune. However, what I found was that a diet free of refined fats is one of
the best strategies for optimal health. When fat is removed from its
natural sources three unintended consequences emerge: 1. The concentration
of functional dietary calories up to more than 1000%. 2…. (see next
    comment for remainder of reply)

  25. Gwenhwyfar Gatti says:

How long could this hold if refrigerated? I would like to make this over
the weekend and use for breakfast throughout the week. Is this feasible or
    would it get funky?

  26. Fendy Fonseka says:

Wow. My husband is a great fan of tofu. But i dont like it much. This is a
great way for both of us to enjoy tofu. Gonna try tomorrow.

  28. Srividya Suresh says:

I’ll definitely try this recipe! Looks delicious, but I’ll follow your
directions to make the vegan version =).

For the people below, the title does say vegetarian. So there is nothing
wrong with her using dairy products. I have plenty of vegetarian friends
who enjoy eating tofu… even non vegetarian friends.

  29. Sean Phillips says:

what is the point of using tofu instead of egg…but to then go ahead an
    use heaps of cheese??

  34. bbrian1983 says:

Not an omelette without eggs. It’s a tofu patty folded in half to look like
an omelette. At least call it something else like Morning Star calls it’s
vegetarian food that looks and tastes like chicken nuggets as Chic’n
    Nuggets.

  37. Olivia I says:

I was so excited to make this recipe, as I had some tofu and wasn’t sure
how to cook it. Well, I just now made it and it was a complete mess. The
chickpea flour didn’t hold together the mixture. It was mushy … I cooked
it and cooked it, and still same texture. I used almond milk instead of the
regular milk, otherwise all ingredients were the same. What went wrong?

  38. Luvon Hiatus says:

Can I use cooked chickpeas if I don’t have chickpea flour?
