Registration Open for 25th Anniversary of World’s Largest Earth Day Festival, EarthFair In Balboa Park

San Diego CA (PRWEB) February 19, 2015

San Diego EarthWorks — the non-profit organizers of EarthFair, the world’s largest free Earth Day celebration — is seeking sustainably-inclined corporations, entrepreneurs, non-profits and advocacy groups to be among 350 shades of green that showcase products, services and initiatives to help citizens save money and live more sustainably during the Silver Anniversary of EarthFair in Balboa Park. EarthFair 2015 takes place Sunday, April 19th, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

“This year marks the 25th Anniversary of EarthFair in Balboa Park, an event that each year serves a heaping helping of family-oriented activities and environmentally-friendly food, products and services to inspire citizens to honor Mother Earth,” said EarthFair co-founder Carolyn Chase.

In addition to the sustainably-inclined wares of more than 300 vendors, EarthFair presents a festive children’s activity area, live animals (and adoptions), eARTh Gallery Art Show, the debut of Balboa Park’s Art Bench Project and four entertainment stages, this year featuring a magic stage with an interactive Water Education Show.

Also on this year’s venue menu are multiple food pavilions (where the climate-focused Garden of Eating will take root), the Children’s Earth Day Parade and the Cleaner Car Concourse, whose line-up of electric, hybrid electric and unique, energy-efficient two and four-wheeled vehicles introduces ways to economically zip around town without an invisible tail of toxic emissions.

This year’s Children’s Earth Day Parade theme, “Nurture Nature,” highlights both the nature that requires protection in order to survive and the importance of our human nature in taking action to help.

“EarthFair provides a way for individuals to make a difference in just one day, while learning what they can do the rest of the year to clean up and help reduce our impacts on nature and the environment,” said EarthFair co-founder Chris Klein.

FREE ONLINE REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE FOR VOLUNTEERS, RECRUITS FOR THE CHILDREN’S EARTH DAY PARADE, VEHICLES FOR EARTHFAIR’S CLEANER CAR CONCOURSE AND BALBOA PARK’S NEW ART BENCH PROJECT

Cutting-edge electric (EV), plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) and zero emissions vehicles to be displayed at EarthFair’s Cleaner Car Concourse — and youth groups and troops for Children’s Earth Day Parade — are also being recruited for the celebration, as are artists and businesses interested in supporting Balboa Park’s new Art Bench Project, commemorating the 25th Anniversary of EarthFair and Balboa Park’s Centennial Celebration.

An event of this magnitude could not happen without the help of a legion of volunteers. This year, 400 volunteers are being recruited to keep EarthFair’s low-emission motor humming. To volunteer, register online at http://www.EFVol.org.

Noted Chase: “Whether you’re interested in greener products and services, finding out about environmental initiatives or enjoying a bite at the Garden of Eating, a day at EarthFair offers plenty to inspire you.”

Those interested in introducing their planet-friendly, money-saving solutions to sustainably-inclined Southern Californians can register for EarthFair 2015 at http://www.EarthDayWeb.org.

Organizations seeking an even higher profile with this desirable demographic can invest in sponsorships ranging from $ 1,000 to $ 40,000.
