Kiwi Mediterranean Grill Announces the Authentic Food Taste Challenge

Kiwi Mediterranean Grill is offering a free Baklava to any customer who traveled the Mediterranean region and tried any of kiwi’s plates or wraps and don’t think that the flavors are authentic. The challenge will run until November 15, 2014.

Kiwi Mediterranean Grill is a healthy fast casual food concept that serves affordable made from scratch food. It opened in late March 2014 in Richardson, Texas. The restaurant offers diners a healthy option with the convenience of quick service format and a drive thru. The food is natural and preservative free.

The challenge was prompted by the large number of customers who are well traveled that marvel at the authentic taste of the food. One customer said “once I took the first bite, it brought back memories of all the fun times my family and I had while sampling the foods in the markets and bazaars in my recent trip.”

The Kiwi Mediterranean Grill uses fresh steak and chicken for the shawerma which is hand sliced in to thin layers then marinated overnight with herbs and spices, extra virgin olive oil and fresh garlic, then are roasted on vertical rotisserie. The kabobs are marinated overnight then cooked on high flames on rotating spits. Using these grilling methods produces tender meats and robust roasting flavor. The restaurant is also known to have the best falafel around. The food have Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Greek influences.

The menu at Kiwi is simple and has the essential food items that are most popular with customers such as Gyro, Hummus, Mutabal (baba ghanoush), Yogurt cucumber (tzatziki), Tabbouleh, Greek salad, rice and fries. Fresh mint hot tea and Baklava are very popular with customers.

The concept is unique by utilizing drive-thru and quick service format, as a matter of fact it is the only Mediterranean restaurant in the area with a drive-thru. The restaurant was designed to be warm and inviting with a relaxed atmosphere.
