exactly, Heart Cafe 🙂 and yes, sounds virtuous and delicious 🙂 thanks for the tips!

Sacred Heart Cafe, or “Pure heart” or something along those parameters? There’s one by that name which I dined in quite heavily not only because of its virtuous M.O but because it was goood!

We stayed in a hostel right next to it actually. If I were you, I’d avoid walking up the site that’s there unless you’re desperate for cardio. It’s a little pricey for not all that much.

While in Machhu Picchu, look for the Viscachas! They’re like some cute kangaroo mice that gesture like they’re praying

Wow. How beautiful can a place get??

I thought Heather and her BF are little more resilient than Jarred food. Young adults need not to worry about elevations less than 15k.

Thanks for sharing HN and have fun; do visit Punku ruins and check out lake Titikaka.

  7. Heather Nauta says:

yeah, interesting point, never thought about jarred food!

Living at the 8k level here in the Sierras let me suggest you go slow when going from a high to a lower elevation. I know when friends come to visit and bring their home canned jars of food they have to stop every 1k and sit for half an hour or the jars seal can come loose.

glad you liked it 🙂 too bad it wasn’t in time for your trip, but sometimes you learn the most from things that happen like that when you’re not expecting – hope it wasn’t too serious for you!

cool 🙂 we haven’t gone up to Machu Picchu yet, next week 🙂 and yes, we plan to spend as little time in Aguas Calientes as possible… but I did find a really cool cafe serving veg food and working as a support for a local charity in Ollantaytambo, so going to check that out instead 🙂

Aw. Hope you won’t need those sickness pills. What an amazing world we live in. Are you going somewhere else next or staying there till you go home?

hey I went to that church! The catacumbos, No? Did you get to ascend Machu Picchu?

If you do go to Machu Picchu, don’t buy anything in Aguas Calientes, the town at the base of the mountain.
