Avure Sets Record Sales – Expands to New Location

High Pressure Processing (HPP) is used around the world to make many of the foods you eat safer and have longer shelf life.

Middletown, OH (PRWEB) June 17, 2014

“Robust growth in the high pressure processing (HPP) arena” is attributed to what Avure Technologies called its “best year ever” during a recent meeting of Avure leadership. The company had just wrapped up the 2013 books and reviewed first quarter 2014 sales, which are already ahead of previous quarterly records. The company also acknowledged the well-received services programs launched over the past two years, saying it was a key factor in recent successes.

“We’ve made significant strides over the past few years to build upon our leadership in the HPP industry by positioning ourselves to better serve existing and new customers,” says Jeff Williams, CEO of Avure HPP. “It started with the development of new service programs designed to ensure customer performance requirements and maintenance goals. Now that we have that in place, as well as our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility up and running in Middletown, OH, we’re proud to announce our plans to locate a new global headquarters in the Cincinnati area.”

According to Mr. Williams, the new headquarters will house an innovation center, complete with new test kitchen, microbiology lab, HPP center, offices, and a learning pavilion for those new to HPP.

“We are very excited to announce this expansion,” commented Matt Rutherford, Avure Senior VP of Business Development and Global Sales. “This will allow us to further support customers as they enter new product categories while working diligently on expanded applications research. This, coupled with our increasing partner network of HPP tolling services providers, will serve as our framework for continued growth,” he added.

The Cincinnati area expansion follows a series of significant milestones for the company. Earlier this year, Avure Technologies received the coveted 2013 Spirit of Excellence Award from Hormel Foods Corporation for “performance in areas such as system productivity, throughput, and on-time parts shipment,” said Dave Fuller, Director of Services.

Also making headlines this year was the opening of the Avure HPP Parts Distribution Center near Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, a critical component of ensuring on-time delivery of replacement parts to Avure’s customer base throughout Europe and parts of Asia.

Locating the new Avure Innovation Center and headquarters in the Cincinnati area will allow for improved levels of collaboration between the operations, engineering and commercial organizations as well easy access to the company’s manufacturing facility in Middletown, a town just north of Cincinnati.

ABOUT HPP

HIGH PRESSURE PASTEURIZATION (HPP) is a non-thermal treatment that uses ultra-high pressure purified water to keep packaged food pathogen-free to stay fresh longer. At very high pressures bacteria such as Listeria, E. coli, and Salmonella are disabled. Commonly protected foods include ready-to-eat meats, fresh ground beef and poultry, fresh fruits, juices, smoothies, soups, wet salads, sauces, seafood and shellfish. HPP helps producers increase food safety and extend shelf-life while providing consumers with wholesome, natural, tasty food.

AVURE helps producers implement HPP from recipe development to installation of the fastest and safest systems. AVURE equipment is used to treat the majority of all HPP-protected food around the world.
