What level of dietary tracking do YOU personally employ?

  2. Daniel Rainey says:

Very good information. I wish more people would understand this and get off
those fad diets that are unsustainable in the long run.

    Sean,

    I can’t prove this, but I PROMISE,

When I stopped counting calories and started Paleo, I started to lose
    weight FASTER

I just try to eat healthy and practice portion control. I manage to
maintain around 12-15% bodyfat at 80 kgs and 6 ft. My weight has gone up
over the last year from 75kgs but I have managed to keep my bodyfat in that
range always. However my goal is to go beyond 12% and reach and maintain
10%. Do you think its possible using just eyeball portion control? I have
been trying to do it for a while but I fail to dip below 12%(i have checked
my bf% only a few times using gym machine but right now I judge from my
    mirror image).

i used to eat a lot of peanuts thinking it was a “healthy food” then I
started counting calories, found out that 2 hand full of my favorite
peanuts is like 300 calories already. lol no wonder im having a hard time
    loosing body fat %

  10. Thomas Campidell says:

best approach in my opinion is to be educated about nutrition(micronutrient
dense foods etc…) but to not restrict any food completely from your
diet…. In my exp. every extreme has led to problems… be it
psychological or crazy binge weeks! (yes, weeks ^^). So ill just try to hit
calories and protein now every day and eat my ice cream or pizza once in a
while =) . If you dont enjoy it in the long term you re not gonna stick
    with it

    Awesome video!
I am using SparkPeople instead of myfitnesspal. It is basically the same
thing – allows you to copy foods from the day before, scan barcodes, search
    other people’s ingredients. Etc.

  12. Ascend Temka says:

Very professional in the way you deliver useful and accurate information.
This channel definitely needs more recognition.

Do you weight your food and count macros ?

  16. Patrick Sihachack says:

So just to hit my missing needed 3300 calories goal per day I can eat ice
cream ? As long as I reach my macros each day.

  17. jahukommm says:

i’m a little confused about one thing. Isn’t caloric surplus supposed to
make you look just fat? I mean, will caloric surplus help grow muscles ONLY
IF you lift weigths? I see a lot of fitness women out there who have nice
muscles and low body fat all year round, so it is possible to achive this
kind of look, but.. I don’t understand how. I’m 172 cm (5″7 and a half) and
61 kg (134 lbs), lift 4-5 times a week and I would need to grow some more
muscle and loose some body fat, but I am so confused – which route to take
    then? Caloric surplus or deficiency?

  18. TheSimpleDudeOne says:

In every article ive hit up in my entire life i see the ”burn more
calories than you consume” rule. But it really confuses me. So lets say i
wanna lose weight, and i cosume 1600 calories a day, I have to burn off
1600+ calories OR some calories get digested and therefore become poop so
the bar drops to lets say 800 calories, so i need to burn 800 calories
daily?? Whenever i tried to lose body fat i consumed the same amount of
calories everyday lets say 1800 calories and burned 500 calories per day. I
still got the results, so what do most people roughly mean when saying
”burn more than you consume” ??

  19. freak3366 says:

Hgh or dbol and don’t listen to fads or fitness “experts” most look
horrible and just in it to sell a product. Do you think Arnold cared what
he ate while juicing…potions and powders are false sales pitches. Go hard
    or go home.

  20. cunners1000 says:

Great video thanks ! The thing with macro/calorie counting I have found
most difficult is changing them on perhaps a weekly basis depending on
varying training schedules eg my sports team playing multiple games
consecutively vs a tapered down week.. Any thoughts or tips would be really
    appreciated! Thanks

  21. Ussf Rhni says:

This guy is awesome. Thanks for providing brah.

  22. Shane Acree says:

Hey i was wondering what are your macro percentages because i want to build
muscle im 5’9 and weigh 150 pounds but i just dont know what amount of each
    macro i should eat.

  23. MickeyTeeVee says:

Well explained Sean! I’ve learned about this since I’ve read the first
version of your program. But there really are things that needs to be
re-phrased, re-explained and be reminded of for the information to be
    absorbed and learned.

  24. MickeyTeeVee says:

Ei Sean, could you discuss how to stay lean while on a calorie
    excess/surplus. Thanks!
