@cabernetqueen sprouting lentils and other beans makes them more digestible – so if you sprout them and then cook them, the nutrients are much more available to your body. To sprout, lentils are the easiest. Soak them overnight, then drain. Rinse them 2-3x per day, and they should sprout little tails in about 24 hours. Then you can just boil or steam them until soft, and eat ๐ Same directions for most other beans, like chickpeas or adukis, they just take a bit longer to sprout the little tail

I love this recipe! I never thought to use tahini as the fat and with ginger, it sounds so yummy. Also, thanks for the great info!

OH please tell me more about cooking with sprouted things– like the lentils you mention– also the yeast — I love lentils- eat them everyday– but I also have sprouted the basics for salads–but the sprouting of things for using in cooking or breads or whatever– seems out of my normal realm and I want to embrace more!

@stephlovesthejobros mmm, a little dijon is another of my favorites – and the creaminess is perfect on kale… now you’re making me jealous of your salad ๐

Mmm I love tahini based dressings! I couldn’t find mine today so I made one using dijon mustard, tamari and apple cider vinegar. It was actually really good, and I had it on a massaged red and green kale salad.
