    your journey :)

Looks yum! The flat mushroom looks like a burger bun -but without the carbs
^^ I agree with the other comment a weight loss journey video would be
    really helpful (:

Hi Whitney I love your FB and YouTube and was wondering if you could maybe
help me out by answering a question. I have been eating vegan for 6 weeks
now and all was fine but lately I’ve felt very dizzy, light headed and sick
to my stomach and when i vomited none of the food was digested. I’ve been
doing mostly fruit, veggies, plant based proteins. Is this maybe normal and
my body is just reacting? Or maybe I’m doing something wrong. It’s been
several days now and the dizzy, light headed and sick to my stomach comes
and goes so I don’t think it’s me getting sick but I’m no dr. If you can
maybe give me some advice I’d appreciate it. Thanks Jeff

    and so easy :)

Aren’t these just staple vegan meals anyway?

  10. Patti Raithel says:

One of my favorite vegan meals is making my own spaghetti sauce. I just add
green pepper, corn cut off the cob and chopped mushrooms that I have
sauteed in water to my sauce. And I love to kayak.

I don’t really do the low cal thing but here is a great lentil soup that is
easy filling and cheap- 1 cup red lentils rinsed, 4 cups water or broth
(broth paste), 1 t of garlic or garlic powder, 1 t of black powder, bring
to boil, turn down to simmer for 20 mins, blend with immersion blender.
DONE. I love zumba a little yoga (not hot versions)

Spaghetti squash are amazing!!! And I personally am a big proponent of
liquid meals: Smoothies in the summer and soups in the Fall/Winter. There
are so many ways you can add lots of herbs, spices and ingredients and make
    every dish very unique.

i’ve been vegan for 2 years now and finally i am able to eat salads with no
dressings at all. this time of year i really love soups and will be
checking out some of your recipes. i walk and do muscle toning exercises on
a regular basis all year round and in the spring/summertime i add jumping
rope twice a week to the mix. it took me forever to get to the point of
being an organic whole foods vegan, but the struggle has really been worth
all the “one step forward, two steps back.” love you channel, just stumbled
onto it and subscribed without hesitation.

Biggest tip regarding salad dressings: learn to gradually live without
them. It takes time, but you learn. I went from balsamic vinaigrette, to
using hummus, to mashing up avocado, to using red wine vinegar. Also you
can put just a bit of water on your salad. As for soups, Amys and
Mcdougalls minestrone is very low cal and has good protein. 🙂

hi Whithey. I love your videos. I was eating vegan when I was pregnant with
my third child cause I wanted to avoid a gallblader surgery. Ended up
having it anyway cause my pancreas duct got block whit some kind of sand
from my liver ( i don’t know the exact word in english). While I was eating
that way, everything tasted great and I loved it. I was 252 pounds when I
was pregnant and gave birth full term baby and weighed 215 pound and was
healthy overall, so said my doctor. Fell out of that train cause of stress,
bad habits and what not. You really inspire me to get back on track, I take
notes and will start back and for good. Lentils sheperds pie was one of
my favorite dish. Just to the exact same thing you do usually but change
the meat for lentils and brown some veggies, season it real good and enjoy.
By the way, it is easy to brown some veggies with water, just add a bit of
water at a time, just when its gonna get sticky pour a table spoon and so
on. But you probably new that. I also love making a pie “crust’ if you will
with patato puree that i spread in a dish (lasagna dish for exemple), cook
it at 375 until light brown touches on top. Prepare a bag or two of you
favorite frozen veggie mix, thicken and season the sauce the way you like,
add legumes or tofu cubes. Pour in the crust and enjoy.

Vegan Heartland’s minestrone soup recipe and Happy Herbivore’s black bean
and salsa soup recipe are my two favorite inexpensive and healthy soups.

  22. Kaylie S says:

Another yummy thing to add to a salad is fruit! Some chopped up oranges or
some berries really spice up a plain salad and add lots of nutrients!

  23. xoxoxojessica says:

    Awesome

  24. Sheila the Petite says:

Good old fashion rice and beans, mixed with pasta sauce and mix veggies.
Can also wrap them in romaine lettuce, like a burrito. Yum yum.

  25. Molly Olivia says:

I love all your ideas! I love soups. So many options. My favorite way to

  27. fruitikay says:

When I was losing weight on a vegan diet (90 lbs total this last year) I
would eat oatmeal for breakfast, a salad with tons of veggies for lunch,
and a type of legume dish with a side of steamed veggies. I was severely
overweight when I started , so this came out to about 1200 calories a day.
I also took tons of vitamins and was sure to get some flaxmilk in my diet.
I would sometimes substitute the salad for a green smoothie.
