Returning for a second year, Jazz On The Mountain At Blue includes a full weekend with over 30 Concerts and features 100 musicians. Free and ticketed shows from local and international artists are included in the 3-day schedule including twilight concerts on the actual ski hill at Blue Mountain. Guests can enjoy a naturally sloping setting with views overlooking Georgian Bay in the distance. The festival takes place just over 90 minutes north of Toronto in the heart of Blue Mountain Village that is nestled between the Niagara Escarpment and the shores of Georgian Bay.

Jazz On The Mountain At Blue headliner line-up include recent inductee in to Toronto’s Italian Walk of fame, Gino Vannelli, R&B group The Commodores and contemporary jazz champions the Yellowjackets. We welcome back three of the 2013 events plaza artists to open the main stage. Friday’s Gino Vannelli concert will be opened by Irene Torres & The Sugar Devils. Andria Simone & Those Guys fly in from France on Saturday in the wake of their Hennessey contest performance to open for The Commodores. On Sunday afternoon 5 After 4 will open for the Yellowjackets, who will close out the festival.

A Master Class Series is part of the Festival where music lovers and students can participate in the creation and exploration of jazz in a learning experience. The Master Class Series runs twice daily, Friday through Sunday featuring: Stan Samole (Guitar & Dean of the 2014 Master Classes), Damian Erskine (bass), Bob Minzter (saxophone), Russ Ferrante (keys), Will Kennedy & Vito Rezza (drums) and Felix Pastorius (bass). Drop-in visitors are welcome subject to available space and for a minimum $ 5 donation to Festival charity sponsor CNIB.

A Free Concert Series will also be presented throughout the weekend at Events Plaza in the heart of

Blue Mountain Village with established artists and up-and-coming Canadian performers showcasing a

combination of jazz, pop, funk and R&B. Featuring: Top Pocket, Quincy Bullen Band with special guest Eddy Bullen, Vibrosis, Gone Fission, Rob Tardik, Gabriel Mark Hasselbach, Countermeasure, and The Ault Sisters.

On Friday and Saturday evenings a free Jazz Club Series runs at four venues within the Blue Mountain Village including Copper Blues Bar, Firehall Pizza Co., C&A Steak Co. and Tholos.

Featuring: Chris Smith, Alex Pangman, Rob Tardik, Stan Samole, and Jordana Talsky

Lastly Jazz on the Mountain at Blue introduces ART&JAZZ @ BLUE, a spectacular collection of visual and tactile artwork featuring music and jazz related themes, showcased in the beautiful Cascade Room at the base of Blue Mountain. Music is provided by solo pianist Sandor Schwisberg.
