Is there ever a right time to eat junk food?

Question by Brett Wilson: Is there ever a right time to eat junk food?
Correct me if I’m wrong.. but our bodies require lots of nutrient rich and healthy foods daily, and we need a lot of it. Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner take up the whole day, and you should eat properly each time hey? So really, if you substitute one of them with something bad, that’s one less healthy thing you’re eating, and extra bad calories you’re taking in!! So is there really ever a right time to eat junk food and get away with it?

uh no. There is no right time to eat any food. Hell I’d eat pancakes at night and soup for breakfast if I wanted too.

You only get out what you put in. If junk goes in, everything you do will be junky. More to the point. Diet is the easiest thing to be disciplined about. Its what you do everyday and its hardwired into your body. There is no need to fester your body with over-processed crap, when you can eat healthy full foods. If you can’t be disciplined in your diet, would you be applying the same principle everywhere else? Is it ok to shoplift once every 10 stores you visit? Or is it ok to skip school/work once a week? I mean, you go in every other day anyway.

Technically however, a calorie is a calorie. It doesn’t matter if carbs come from vegetables, or from bread, or protein from milk, or fish. The difference is the micro-nutrients. The vitamins and minerals in natural whole foods, and the chemicals in processed foods.
