I totally disagree with what you wrote : “People in Japan didnt eat meat
and dairy until the end of World War 2, they had health and happy long
life. Not anymore, now japanese people are sick and eat a lot of junk food.
This video is an interview with 90 y.o. grandmother, who is healthy and
happy. What kind food did she eat? “-
People in Okinawa eat very differently and live super long

Have you ever seen the people from Okinawa?
They drink sake wine everyday, eat fish and sea food, tofu, lots of fruits,
and even pork twice a month… it’s quite different diet than the one here.
People form Okinawa are the ones who live the longest. You see people in
their hundreds playing gateball, gardening…
As I can understand the Grandma in this video basically tells that she ate
this diet BECAUSE they lived in the mountains and couldnt find fish or
fruits. Honestly… You are trying to protect YOUR point of view because
you believe in this diet, but you could never say that FISH or alcohol like
sake wine or chocolate (like dark chocolate for instance) is BAD. it
showsthat you have not enough research on food whatsoever and is just
protectiong what YOU believe. That are many experts studying the diet in
Okinawa which is different than the one here. Im not saying it’s not valid,
but i am saying you are not basing your conclusion in something so
concrete. There is a guy which is 111,walks normally without a cane,
totally healthy, who believes that dark chocolate makes him healthy. You
should stop protecting what you want to see and research much more.

Very interesting video, Tonia! I was exactly researching ancient Japanese
diet yesterday. I am trying raw food diet, but find it has too many
sweets… does not feel natural for me. Still experimenting, trying to find
what works well for my body. Thank you again! (I am Russian, living in
Israel).

My uncle was in the Marine Corps, stationed in Okinawa in the early
sixties. He said basically the same thing. 90 year old men have as much or
more energy as men half their age. They practice their arts, tai chi,
etc… every day and have no arthritis, joint or flexibility issues what so
ever. ~ Very Cool ~

Money is biggest issue as sociaty discard them when they age – people go
dis- connect from sociaty and just live off whatever they accumulate during
productive years. ..ones their resources deplete they want to leave as they
have no Chi left to harness more into their reality bubble . Anyway
according to new program lifespan is extended to 150 year .

They eat a lot of meat. But they eat very expensive high quality foods in
smaller amounts. We eat more junk food in bigger amounts.

I would argue that their diet is “low fat” Just a guess but Were there are
pigs there is pork fat,,I would guess that is a much used cooking medium
even when they don’t eat meat..

your video was decent but you were a tad bit off. They make the sweet
potato the main starch, not exactly the rice. Yes, they do eat a good bit
of rice, but they are known more for the sweet potato. Mainland Japan is
more about the rice. Otherwise, u seemed to get everything else right.

Unforunately I wonder how long they will stay healthy. American
corporations in an every greedy expansion to spread their destructive diet
are slowly creeping into all the corners of the globe. KFC, Burger King
and McDonalds are poping up all over asia. Im sure they even have a few
in Somalia or if not, just waiting for the right moment to do so. More
and more people in asia are starting to adopt a more western diet. I hope
many billions will resist the lure of high fat, high sodium, high sugar
fast food and stay slim and healthy. I even learned a week ago that fast
food industry puts casomorphin into their burgers to make the food even
more addictive. As if not hitting the pleasure senses of the brain enough
with fat, sugar and salt is not enough. Love the vids. Cheers

I’m Japanese. They don’t eat sweet potato that much. They just add some
sweet potato into white rice and cook together. U cannot eat so much sweet
potato. The amount they consume tofu is twice as much as other area of
Japan. So secret is Rice and noodle for main carb, add some sea weed and
vege, tofu and some fish and pork for protein. U have to get enough calorie
from rice.

Any advice on how to improve digestion on a high carb low fat diet? I
still am experiencing poor digestion, even with mono meals of fruit. In
addition, I make sure to drink 32oz of water before every meal. Usually my
days consist of fruit throughout the day and a starch meal at night.

I mix it up. Dont eat a lot of sea veg at the moment but get down on dulse
and other sea weeds as much as possible.

You are right. The poor mans diet just is a little bit higher in fruit. The
okinawans do not eat “a lot” of pork. The eat a hand size portion of pork,
fish, or types of meat 3 times per week on average. To me eating a lot of
meat would be eating it every day or eating meat multiple times per day. I
have found a lot of information from articles and research studies. You
just have to look at who is doing and paying for the studies.

I have been cleansing, eating clean, fasting, for about 6 years or so at
the level im at now. I tend to know how to balance my body with cleansing
so if I decide to eat unhealthy foods around the holidays or anytime i just
balance it out with equal amount of cleansing. For instance if I have some
cookies or a full cheat meal like a pizza or something, the next day I will
do all fruit.
