Any easy way to cut out sugary foods is to give up soda. Drink only water, juice, and milk. If you drink a lot of soda now, and miss the bubbles, try seltzer.
Pack yourself handy little snacks, like trail mix, so you have something healthy to eat, instead of drifting to junk food.
Try to get some exercise.

Staying away from sugary foods was a big problem for me for most of my life until I managed to ‘break the habit’ a couple of years ago. What helped me is eating food that has low GI index (web search that) and complex carbohydrates and eating small amounts every 3-4 hours so I never get too hungry. Eat small regular meals but have a snack if you start getting hungry, something like 4 Triscuits, a tablespoon of raw almonds or half a Think thin bar or an apple, rice cakes spread with a little honey. I still crave chocolate though so I have some dark chocolate that I can eat 1 piece of once or twice a day. Make sure you eat everything very slowly and never eat while you are doing something else like watching tv or on the computer. Drinking herbal tea helps fill you up too. Good luck. 🙂

There are two things you can do that require you to take action.

    1) Don’t eat the sugary food.
    2) Exercise more or be more active.

You are in control of yourself.

Hi there, you should eat fruit like juicy apples instead of sugary food – it will help with the need for sweet taste. Maybe also reduce your food intake very slightly.
Also do some exercise like walking or some sports. Doing sit-ups will work specifically on the muscles around your tummy which may help.
    All the best 🙂
