healthy food?

Question by Meagan H: healthy food?
I’m a cheerleader and l need to start eating healthier. What are some good healthy foods and snacks? Oh and l love to bakeso the more baking the better(: oh and can you say how to make it please, but you don’t have to. Thanks!

some salad and i think that a citrus salad has a lot of flavor

    I’m not a cheerleader and I feel the need to eat healthy.

    Just some basics:

    natural peanut butter (the kind you stir, then keep in the fridge) and celery
    peanut butter with apple wedges
    hummus with gr. peppers, baby carrots, raw broccoli
    hummus with whole grain crackers (real all grain labels, to be sure “wheat flour” “enriched flour” isn’t listed. Both are the same thing (all flour is made from what), and both are WHITE flour.
    There are some very good reduced fat cheeses at Trader Joe’s.
    Salads with grilled/broiled chicken, or with grilled/broiled salmon.
    Trader Joe’s also sells a whole grain pizza crust. Have that with skim mozzarella cheese and sauce.. veggies, and you have a healthy pizza. Just 2 slices for a meal though.. Have it with a salad.

    There are so many more healthy choices. So read leables when necessary, stay away from frozen, prepared foods, and use some common sense, and pay attention to portion size.

    Baked potatoes, just watch what you have with them, or on top.
    Grilled (broiled) mushrooms and or tomatoes on toast.
    Eggs
    Poached, scrambled, boiled, devilled or as an omelette.

    i would go to your local market like WAL MART and by tons of fruit and orange juice, then when you get home, grab ur blender and make a healthy smoothie!!!all you need is ice any type of juice and just fruits and veggies. you could put broccoli in it and you wont even taste it!! its the best way to eat healthy without tasting that gross flavor of veggies. or you could buy a v8. but since you like to cook i thought it would be more fun this way. hope this helps and good luck =^).

    a quick and healthy lunch is a tomato and stuff it with tuna salad.

    a whole tomato and cut the top off.
    cut the tomato down the middle but not all the way through and turn the tomato and do the same on the other side.
    You know have 4 slices the tomato is cut.

    The tuna
    one can tuna made with water, drained
    pickle relish
    cut celery just to taste
    mayo or miracle whip
    Mix all together and place the tuna in your tomato and enjoy.
    You can also eat this for dinner.

    If you don’t like tuna you can use a can of chicken just make it the same.

    Well you need to eat smaller meals and more time a day. Let’s say 5 small meals a day.
    Instead sugar and snacks you can eat lemons and other fruit. But becouse lemons are sour and not sweet, that is hard way to do it. But few months ago, i found out, that you can make lemon sweet without sugar. You can read more on this site where you have a lot of links to newspape articles. http://www.miraclefruitworld.com/
    I know that 5 meals a day are almost impossible. But try to eat fruit instead of snacks. I like lemons and strawberries with miracle fruit the most.
