Georgia Insurance Advisors Launches Fund Raising Effort Aimed at Assisting the Boys and Girls Club in Their Mission to Enhance the Lives of Local Young People

Help Feed Local Schoolchildren

Bogart, GA (PRWEB) June 17, 2015

Georgia Insurance Advisors, a full service insurance company in Bogart, GA, is launching a donation collection campaign to support the Oconee Food for Kids program, a local charity operating in Oconee County that provides nutritious meals for local young people that often arrive to school hungry.

Oconee Food for Kids has selected a number of local children that are struggling with undernourishment, and tend to arrive to school on Monday morning hungry. This not only affects the overall health of the students, it also limits their ability to fully appreciate and participate in educational programs.

“Children are the most important resource we have,” says Mark McClung, owner and operator of Georgia Insurance Agency. “Ensuring that our young people receive enough to eat is critical, not only to their health and well-being, but to the health of our entire community.”

McClung and the Georgia Insurance Agency team are actively involved in spreading awareness about the Oconee Food for Kids, and have initiated a referral program that promises to provide much needed funding to the charity. In addition, McClung and his team have built an online portal that points website visitors to the charity, and they are continue to reach out across social media channels to find supporters all across the state.

The efforts of the Georgia Insurance Agency are not limited to feeding hungry schoolchildren, however. McClung and his team have already invested significant time and resources in several other charitable efforts, from hosting arts and crafts workshops for the developmentally disabled to supporting families facing severe medical challenges. Moreover, McClung and his team have committed to assisting a new charity every 30-60 days over the coming months. “We just want to make sure everyone in our community has the opportunity and ability to lead a happy and fulfilling life,” says McClung.

Those interested in supporting the Oconee Food for Kids program are encouraged to visit the Georgia Insurance Agency website and donate to the cause directly here. To learn more about the other charitable programs the Georgia Insurance team is supporting, or to keep tabs on new programs that will be supported in the future, readers are invited to view the Community Causes page here.
